WIP Wednesday

Disclaimer: This is my first WIP (work in progress – I had to look it up!) Wednesday. I don’t really like showing things before I have finished them, but today I decided, what the hey, and here we are! I also deliberately gave you a sneaky shot of the jacket.. It will a post of it’s own when it’s done!

So without further ado, here are my current WIPs:

1. Oliver & S Sunday Brunch Jacket

This jacket is part of my Twelve x 2012 list, and I am pretty happy with the progress so far. The structure is done but I still have a bunch more of the bias tape to make and attach to seams as well as hem everything, cuff the sleeves and topstitch everything.. So a lot to do.

2. Knit headband

So this bad boy is my first attempt at knitting since I made a scarf in high school. I now know how to both knit and purl! Woohoo! Check me out! This is going to be a head/ear warmer. If it turns out to be crap I’m not going to feel too bad as the yarn only cost me £0.60…

3. Embroidered quilt top

I have the top finished but I need to make the backing, quilt it and then bind it. Another WIP that needs a lot of work.

I also ordered the supplies to make the advent calendar for Alfie and Kitty. I decided on making little white felt envelopes and embroidering them with numbers and making into a little garland. Hopefully it works out well!

I’ve linked up at Freshly Pieced, Blissfully Domestic and Whipper Berry.

  1. I always have a hard time showing things off before they are finished too but I love WIP Wednesdays because they help keep me motivated to get things done! Welcome!

    • Thanks! I’m really happy with the color as well! I think I’m going to run out though! Hopefully the shop will have another ball of the same color…

    • Thanks! The knitting actually isn’t too good… the photo just hides it well! haha. I love the jacket too! I’m so happy with how it’s turning out!

  2. I have so wanted to use the Oliver + S patterns, but until recently I have not had a reason to consider them (We found out we are having a girl and I think the girl patterns are super cute and tempting). Thank you so much for showing the jacket in process, I really can’t wait to see how it turned out!
